Chhattisgarh has witnessed yet another administrative reshuffle, with the state government effecting transfers of four IAS officers. Notably, IAS officer Manoj Pingua has been entrusted with a significant responsibility, being appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education. This role had become vacant following the resignation of Alok Shukla. Manoj Pingua, a 2006 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, already held key portfolios, including Home, Jail, and the Forest Department. Additionally, he has been handling the responsibilities of Residential Commissioner for Chhattisgarh Bhawan in New Delhi.
In a recent appointment, P. Dayanand, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been designated as the Secretary to the Chief Minister, with an additional responsibility as the Additional Secretary of the Medical Education Services Department. Presently, Dayanand is serving as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the private establishment of the Chief Minister. Umesh Aggarwal, Ravikant Mishra, and Deepak Andhare will serve as personal secretaries in this setup.
Furthermore, as part of the administrative changes, three probationary IAS officers from the 2021 batch, who recently completed their phase two training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, have received new postings in the state cadre.
Among them, Assistant Collector Jayant Nahata of Raipur has been appointed as the SDM (Revenue) for Dantewada. Similarly, Laxman Tiwari, Assistant Collector of Durg, has assumed the role of SDM (Revenue) for Surajpur. Vasu Jain, Assistant Collector in Bilaspur, has been given a new posting as SDM (Revenue) for Sarangarh.
