New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections to 1,567 residential quarter units at the Ordnance Factory, Muradnagar (OFM).
The initiative will expand access to PNG for domestic use among residents of the residential quarters and further strengthen IGL’s domestic PNG network coverage in the Muradnagar area.
IGL to Extend PNG Connections to 1,567 Residential Units
Under the MoU, IGL will extend its domestic PNG network to 1,567 residential quarter units located within the Ordnance Factory, Muradnagar.
The initiative is aimed at providing residents with a convenient and reliable piped gas supply for their domestic requirements.

MoU Signed in Presence of Ministry of Defence Official
The MoU was signed in the presence of Kamlesh Kumar, Executive Director (ED), Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), Ministry of Defence.
Senior leadership and officials from IGL, along with other stakeholders, were also present during the signing.
The agreement marks an important step towards extending IGL’s domestic PNG infrastructure to the residential quarters associated with Ordnance Factory, Muradnagar.
PNG Expansion to Strengthen Domestic Gas Access
The initiative will provide residents of the 1,567 residential quarters with access to a piped natural gas network for domestic use.
By extending PNG connections to the residential units, IGL aims to strengthen the availability of a clean, safe and convenient gas supply in the area.
The expansion also adds to IGL’s domestic PNG coverage in the Muradnagar region and supports the wider adoption of piped gas for household requirements.
IGL Expands PNG Coverage in Muradnagar
The MoU represents an expansion of IGL’s domestic PNG network in Muradnagar. The company will extend its network to the identified residential quarter units under the agreement.
The project is expected to make domestic gas supply more convenient for residents by providing access through a piped distribution network rather than requiring conventional cylinder-based arrangements.
The initiative also reflects IGL’s focus on expanding its customer base and strengthening domestic PNG infrastructure across its operating areas.
