Bhopal/Katni: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed strict action against Katni City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Neha Pachisia following allegations of irregularities in a land deal worth around ₹1.07 crore. Pachisia has been suspended, while the Chief Minister has ordered a fair investigation and strict action against those found responsible.
FIR Registered Against CSP and Two Others
An FIR has been registered at Kuthla police station in Katni against CSP Neha Pachisia, Kshitij Raj Barapatre and Maruf Ahmed Hanfi under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The complaint was filed by Akash alias Ramesh Lodhi, who alleged that his father, Ramesh Lodhi, was pressured into registering land located in Kanwara village in favour of Maruf Ahmed Hanfi on April 15, 2026.
According to the complaint, the land deal was allegedly agreed at around ₹1.07 crore, but the property was registered for only ₹18.20 lakh.
The complaint alleges that:
- A cheque of ₹15 lakh was given.
- Around ₹3.20 lakh was allegedly paid in cash.
- The remaining amount was allegedly not paid.
- The registration was allegedly carried out under pressure.

Allegations of Taking Landowner to Registry Office in Government Vehicle
The complaint also contains allegations concerning the circumstances surrounding the land registration.
It has been alleged that Ramesh Lodhi was kept at CSP Neha Pachisia’s residence for two days and was taken to the registration office in a government vehicle.
Another allegation concerns the mutation of the land in favour of the buyer while Lodhi was in jail.
However, these allegations have not been independently verified. The police investigation will establish the facts based on documentary evidence, statements and other available records.
₹15 Lakh Bank Transaction Under Investigation
The financial transactions connected with the land deal are expected to be an important part of the investigation.
Police will examine the ₹15 lakh transaction reportedly credited to Maruf Ahmed Hanfi’s bank account on April 15, 2026.
Investigators are expected to examine:
- Bank statements
- Payment-related documents
- Land registration records
- Mutation documents
- Statements of people connected with the transaction
The investigation will determine whether the alleged payment and land deal were carried out as claimed in the complaint.
CSP Neha Pachisia Faced Earlier Controversies
Neha Pachisia has also faced allegations in other matters previously.
In July, a transporter allegedly accused her of demanding ₹30,000 during vehicle checking. Following the allegation, she was suspended and relieved of the charge of three police stations.
Her role was also being examined in a murder case in the Kuthla police station area after an accused reportedly received default bail due to the alleged delay in filing the charge sheet.
The investigations into those matters were transferred to Jabalpur and assigned to ASP Anu Beniwal.
Investigation to Establish Facts
The latest land-deal case remains under investigation. Police are examining documentary evidence, bank transactions and witness statements to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged transaction and registration.
The allegations mentioned in the FIR should not be treated as established facts unless supported by the investigation or proven through due legal process.
The Madhya Pradesh government has directed that the matter be investigated fairly and that appropriate action be taken against anyone found responsible.
