Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a major statewide public service initiative aimed at delivering welfare benefits directly to citizens through ‘Jan Kalyan Camps’, scheduled to be held from June 12 to June 18 across all districts.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed officials to ensure that these camps are organized at every block and urban local body headquarters, making government services more accessible and efficient for the public.
Three-Day Camps to Be Held Across Blocks and Urban Bodies
Under the new plan, three-day welfare camps will be organized in every development block and municipal headquarters across the state.
The camps will focus on:
- Identifying eligible but deprived beneficiaries
- Enrolling citizens in government welfare schemes
- Approving applications on the spot wherever possible
- Distributing benefits in a time-bound manner
Officials will work to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of major state and central government welfare schemes.

Departments will handle:
- Pending applications under welfare schemes
- Issues under the Public Service Guarantee Act

Officials have been instructed to resolve as many cases as possible during the camp itself.

- Departmental heads
must actively participate in the camps.
They will be responsible for:

Public Participation and Awareness Campaign
To ensure maximum outreach, the government has ordered extensive publicity of the camps through various media channels.
The camps will also include:
- Departmental information stalls

- Success stories of beneficiaries
- Public awareness activities
Citizens will receive information, guidance, and on-the-spot assistance for scheme enrollment.
Facilities and Citizen-Friendly Arrangements
Authorities have been instructed to ensure proper arrangements at camp venues, including:
- Drinking water facilities
- Shade and seating arrangements
- Cleanliness and sanitation
- Citizen support desks
These measures aim to make the camps accessible and comfortable for all participants.
Local Leadership and Time-Bound Grievance Redressal
The Chief Minister has also directed that:
- Local public representatives must be involved in the camps
- Unresolved cases must be assigned clear deadlines
- Applicants must be informed about timelines for resolution
- Regular monitoring of pending cases must continue after camps
District Collectors will be fully responsible for the success of the campaign.
