Madhya Pradesh: Major Bureaucratic Overhaul, 42 IAS Officers Transferred Including 11 Collectors; Bharat Yadav Appointed MD, MPRDC

Among the changes, the state’s collectors have seen a major overhaul, with 11 districts getting new leadership. Districts including Raisen, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Dewas, Sheopur, Barwani, and Sehore will now be led by new faces in the role of Collector.

In a significant move that reshapes the bureaucratic landscape of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav led state government has transferred 42 IAS officers and 12 officers from the State Administrative Service (SAS). The General Administration Department issued the official order late on the night of January 27, 2025.

Among the changes, the state’s collectors have seen a major overhaul, with 11 districts getting new leadership. Districts including Raisen, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Dewas, Sheopur, Barwani, and Sehore will now be led by new faces in the role of Collector.

Notably, 2011-batch IAS officer Neha Marvya Singh has been appointed as the new Collector of Dindori, Vivek Shrotri (2012 batch) as Collector of Tikamgarh, and Rishav Gupta (2014 batch) as Collector of Khandwa. Additionally, 2014-batch IAS officer Bhavya Mittal has been appointed as the Collector of Khargone, Harsh Singh (2015 batch) as Collector of Burhanpur, Ritu Raj (2015 batch) as Collector of Dewas, Arpit Verma (2015 batch) as Collector of Sheopur, and Bala Guru (2015 batch) as Collector of Sehore.

Additionally, a significant reshuffling has occurred within key administrative roles. 2008 batch IAS officer Bharat Yadav has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, and Sibi Chakraborty M, also an IAS officer of 2008 batch, will serve as the Chief Minister’s Secretary while also assuming the role of Commissioner of Urban and Development.

Other notable appointments include 2009 batch IAS officer Avinash Lavania as the Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited in Jabalpur, and 2008 batch IAS Lalit Kumar Dahima, previously Secretary of the Jail Department, has been appointed as Member of the Revenue Board, Madhya Pradesh in Gwalior.

Changes were also made in the leadership of various district panchayats, with several SAS officers receiving new assignments. For example, Nanda Bhalave Khusre will now serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat in Agar Malwa, and Lata Sharangat takes over the same position in Burhanpur. Abhishek Dubey has been assigned to lead the Guna District Panchayat, while Ichhit Garhwale has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Home Department of the state government.

In addition, several district panchayat CEO positions have been filled with new appointments, including Anukul Jain in Mandsaur, Praveen Fulpagar in Damoh, and Umrao Singh Maravi in Panna.
