Bhopal: In a significant development for farmers, the central government has increased the wheat procurement quota for Madhya Pradesh from 78 lakh metric tonnes to 100 lakh metric tonnes under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme. The decision comes after a request made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, reflecting a coordinated effort between the state and central government to support farmers.
Strong Push for Farmer Welfare in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has emphasized farmer welfare as a top priority of his government. Following his appeal, the central government approved the revised procurement limit, ensuring that more wheat produced in the state can be purchased at MSP.
The Chief Minister stated that the increase in quota is a recognition of higher wheat production in Madhya Pradesh this year and a step toward ensuring fair prices for farmers.

- Later phase: Large farmers
