Patna: The long-pending proposal to establish a sugar mill in Nawada district has moved forward after the Bihar government approved the free transfer of 99.39 acres of land for the project.
The sugar mill will come up at Makanpur village in Warisaliganj circle. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, where approval was given to transfer the land to the Sugarcane Industries Department.
Sugar Mill to Come Up in Warisaliganj
The availability of land removes an important hurdle in the proposed sugar mill project. With the Cabinet approving the land transfer, the next stages related to establishing the mill are expected to gain momentum.
