New Delhi: NHPC Limited has successfully gone live with the SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across NHPC and its subsidiaries and joint ventures (JVs), marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing digital transformation journey.
The new ERP system became operational with effect from September 1, 2026, and was formally inaugurated by Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), NHPC.
Bhupender Gupta Inaugurates SAP S/4HANA ERP System
The SAP S/4HANA ERP system was inaugurated by NHPC CMD Bhupender Gupta, who appreciated the dedicated efforts of the project team and all stakeholders across NHPC and its subsidiaries/JVs for the successful implementation.
He also acknowledged the contribution of the company’s project management and implementation partners for their technical expertise and support throughout the implementation journey.
The partners involved in the project were:
- Project Management Consultant: M/s Grant Thornton
- Implementation Partner: M/s Deloitte

Senior NHPC Directors Attend ERP Go-Live Event

- Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical)
- Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance)
- Paresh Ranpara, Director (Personnel)
Other senior officers of NHPC also attended the event.
SAP S/4HANA Establishes Unified Digital Core
With the successful Go-Live of SAP S/4HANA ERP, NHPC has established a unified digital core designed to enable seamless integration and standardisation of critical business processes across the organisation and its subsidiaries/JVs.
The platform brings multiple core functions onto an integrated digital system, supporting greater coordination and consistency across business operations.
