New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has secured a ₹43.89 crore work order, excluding taxes, from the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Provisioning), Odisha, to provide specialised manpower support to Odisha Police.
The company disclosed the order in a regulatory filing dated 28 July 2026, in compliance with applicable SEBI listing regulations.
Under the project, RailTel will deploy 170 experts across Cyber Crime and CC & EO Police Stations of Odisha Police. The initiative is aimed at strengthening specialised capabilities in areas such as information technology, cyber forensics and financial analysis.
RailTel to Deploy 170 Specialised Experts
Under the work order, RailTel will engage a team of 170 professionals to support Odisha Police in specialised technology and investigation-related functions.
The team will comprise:
- IT Experts
- Cyber Forensic Experts
- Finance and Account Analysts
These experts will be deployed across Cyber Crime and CC & EO Police Stations under Odisha Police.
The deployment is expected to strengthen the specialised technical capabilities required for handling cyber-related crimes, digital investigations and financial analysis.

Focus on Cyber Crime and Digital Investigation Capabilities
The work order comes at a time when technical expertise has become increasingly important for law enforcement agencies dealing with cyber crime and digital investigations.
Through the deployment of IT and cyber forensic professionals, the project will support Odisha Police in areas requiring specialised technical knowledge.
The inclusion of finance and account analysts will also provide expertise in financial analysis-related functions covered under the project.
Project to Be Completed by August 2029
RailTel received the work order from Odisha Police on 27 July 2026 at 7:54 pm.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 30 August 2029.
