Karnataka: India’s power transmission sector has taken another significant step forward with the successful transfer of two Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for major intra-state transmission projects in Karnataka. The handover was carried out by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework.
On May 30, 2026, RECPDCL transferred Hampapura Power Transmission Limited to Resonia Limited and Mekhali Power Transmission Limited to Dilip Buildcon Limited after completing the competitive bidding process. RECPDCL acted as the Bid Process Coordinator for both projects.
The handover ceremonies were conducted by Monisha Barua, General Manager and Head of Department, RECPDCL, in the presence of senior officials from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), RECPDCL, and representatives of the winning companies.
