New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced a key leadership change, informing stock exchanges about the appointment of Mr. Ashutosh Gautam as its new Executive Director (Civil), effective from the afternoon (A/N) of 17 April 2026. Following this appointment, he will be included in the company’s Senior Management Personnel under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The disclosure was made in compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations, along with supporting documents such as the office order and declaration submitted as annexures.
Strong Infrastructure Leadership Added to RVNL Management
With this appointment, RVNL has strengthened its senior leadership team by bringing in a highly experienced infrastructure professional. Mr. Ashutosh Gautam is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s expanding portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects across India.
His induction comes at a time when RVNL continues to focus on executing complex railway and multi-sector infrastructure developments.
33+ Years of Experience Across Major Infrastructure Sectors
Mr. Ashutosh Gautam brings over 33 years of extensive experience in infrastructure planning, execution, and management. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including:
- Highways and road infrastructure
- Ports and inland waterways
- Urban development projects
- Large-scale transport infrastructure
He has previously worked on deputation with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH).
Key Leadership Roles in Major National Projects
Throughout his career, Mr. Gautam has held several senior positions in high-impact infrastructure initiatives. His notable roles include:
- Leadership positions in the Jal Marg Vikas Project (JMVP) under the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI)
- Managing Director of Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway Ltd.
- Managing Director of Kolaghat–Haldia Highways Ltd.
- Senior responsibilities in World Bank–funded highway projects in Uttar Pradesh
He has also handled project management responsibilities involving large-scale contract administration and international-standard FIDIC contracts.
Academic Excellence and Teaching Contributions
Mr. Gautam is academically distinguished, holding a B.Tech (Civil) with a Gold Medal and an M.Tech with a Silver Medal from IIT Delhi. In addition to his professional career, he is also associated as a visiting faculty member at premier institutions, including IITs, IIMs, LBSNAA, and NITs, where he shares expertise on infrastructure planning and contract management.
