Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has carried out another major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 24 IAS officers in its second list within 24 hours. With this, the total number of IAS transfers has reached 64 in just 18 hours, including the replacement of District Magistrates (DMs) in 25 districts, marking one of the most extensive administrative overhauls in recent times.
Second List: 24 IAS Officers Transferred, 10 DMs Replaced
n the latest order issued on Monday evening, 24 IAS officers, including 8 women officers, were transferred. The reshuffle resulted in the replacement of DMs in 10 districts, further extending the sweeping changes initiated a day earlier.
First List Recap: 40 IAS Transfers Overnight
Earlier, at around 1:00 AM on Sunday, the government had released its first transfer list involving 40 IAS officers, including DMs of 15 districts and five Chief Development Officers (CDOs).
Together, the two lists have resulted in:
- 64 IAS transfers
- 25 District Magistrates replaced
- 13 young IAS officers getting DM charge for the first time

Meanwhile, Ishan Pratap Singh’s posting as DM Barabanki is seen as a reward for his role in expediting key infrastructure projects, including the Jewar Airport development.
