Prayagraj: Ahead of the PCS Pre Exam 2025 on October 12, authorities in Uttar Pradesh have put in place robust security measures in Prayagraj and across the state to maintain the credibility and fairness of the examination. In Prayagraj alone, 67 examination centres have been readied, with magistrates and invigilators deployed to ensure smooth conduct.

Digital Lockers, Iris Scans and Holograms: High‑Security Protocols

To protect the confidentiality of the question papers, these will be stored and transported in digital locker boxes, minimizing human intervention and risk. At each centre, candidates will be subjected to iris scanning for identity verification. Following biometric authentication, a hologram sticker will be affixed to the admit card, signifying legitimate entry. Admission to centres will close 45 minutes prior to the scheduled exam time to prevent late arrival abuse.

Layered Supervision with Magistrates and Invigilators

Each exam centre will be supervised by static and sector magistrates, along with designated centre in‑charges. For every group of 12 candidates, one invigilator will be assigned. This multi‑tiered oversight is part of UPPSC’s revamped security protocols, designed to preempt malpractice.

Live Monitoring, AI Surveillance and Media Watch

All centres will operate under active CCTV surveillance. At the district level, Internet Media Monitoring Cells have been established to track and respond to online threats or leaks. Additional security measures include body frisking, biometric authentication, and AI‑based live proctoring to detect suspicious behavior during the exam. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma is personally overseeing preparations to ensure compliance with stringent exam norms. LIU and STF teams remain on alert to act swiftly in case of any breach.

Statewide Coverage: 75 Districts, 1,435 Centres, 6.26 Lakh Candidates

The PCS Pre Exam will be conducted across 75 districts, spanning 1,435 exam centres, with 6,26,387 registered aspirants statewide. The exam will be held in two shifts: 9:30 AM‑11:30 AM and 2:30 PM‑4:30 PM. In Prayagraj, approximately 28,000 candidates will take the test under the tight security regime.

These arrangements reflect the state’s commitment to uphold exam integrity and build trust among aspirants, reducing vulnerabilities and enhancing transparency throughout the process.
