Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a total financial and administrative sanction of ₹8.61 crore to strengthen infrastructure facilities in the state and provide relief to disaster-affected families.
The approval was granted on Wednesday as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to improve basic infrastructure and ensure timely assistance to those impacted by natural disasters.
₹4.92 Crore Approved for Power Infrastructure in Dehradun Cantt
The Chief Minister has sanctioned ₹4.92 crore for ongoing electrical infrastructure work under the Bunch Cable project in the Dehradun Cantonment Assembly constituency.
The project aims to extend bunch cable connectivity to underserved and uncovered areas, improving the reliability and safety of the electricity distribution system in the region.
₹3.69 Crore Relief for Disaster-Affected Families in Uttarkashi
CM Dhami also approved ₹3.69 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for families affected by natural disasters in Uttarkashi district.
The assistance will benefit residents in:
- Dharali and Harsil (Bhattwari tehsil)
- Dunda, Chinyalisaur, Barkot and Mori regions
A total of 123 fully damaged residential houses will receive compensation at the rate of ₹3 lakh per house. The government order for this assistance has already been issued.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that the state government is fully committed to standing with disaster-affected families with sensitivity and dedication. He emphasized that timely relief and rehabilitation remain a top priority.
He also added that the government is continuously working to strengthen basic infrastructure across Uttarakhand to ensure long-term development and resilience against disasters.
