Ayodhya: In a major push to development and cultural heritage, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the grand statue of Veerangana Jhalkari Bai in Ayodhya district. On the occasion, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹378 crore, including a government Ayurvedic medical college and hospital, along with 125 major infrastructure projects.
The event took place in the sacred land of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, marking a blend of cultural pride and development initiatives.
₹378 Crore Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital Approved
A key highlight of the programme was the inauguration and foundation laying of the Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, aimed at strengthening healthcare services in the region.
The institution will include:
- Classrooms and academic blocks
- Laboratories and research facilities
- Hospital blocks with OPD and IPD services
- Modern medical infrastructure alongside traditional Ayurvedic treatment
Officials stated that the project will not only improve healthcare access but also generate new educational and employment opportunities for students in Ayurveda.

126 Development Projects Inaugurated and Launched in Rudauli
In the Rudauli Assembly constituency, a total of 126 development projects were inaugurated and launched, with an overall investment exceeding ₹378 crore.
These projects include:
- Road construction and bridge development
- Drainage and water management systems
- Electricity infrastructure upgrades
- School building construction
- Anganwadi centres and welfare facilities
The government said these works will directly benefit rural populations by improving basic infrastructure and public services.
245 Projects Worth ₹290 Crore for Ayodhya Municipal Area
In addition, more than 245 development projects worth over ₹290 crore were launched and inaugurated in the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation area.
These initiatives aim to further strengthen urban infrastructure and public amenities, supporting Ayodhya’s transformation into a modern pilgrimage and cultural city.
Tribute Paid to Veerangana Jhalkari Bai
During the event, CM Yogi Adityanath unveiled the statue of Veerangana Jhalkari Bai, honouring her bravery in the 1857 freedom struggle.
He recalled her role in fighting against British forces and her courage in protecting Rani Lakshmibai during the battle. The Chief Minister said that her legacy will inspire the younger generation to value courage and patriotism.

Focus on Ayodhya’s Cultural and Development Transformation
The Uttar Pradesh government reiterated its vision of developing Ayodhya as a global spiritual, cultural, and tourism hub while preserving its heritage.
Post Ram Mandir development, the focus has expanded to:
- Healthcare infrastructure
- Education and skill development
- Tourism promotion
- Urban and rural connectivity
Officials said Ayodhya is emerging as a model city where heritage and modern development go hand in hand.
CM Yogi’s Remarks on Opposition and Governance
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath made strong political remarks, accusing opposition parties of historically opposing the Ram Mandir movement and misleading the public.
He said investigations related to temple donation matters are being handled through an SIT to ensure transparency and fairness. He urged people to remain patient and avoid misinformation until the process is completed.
The Chief Minister also appealed to citizens and devotees to maintain dignity and not fall for propaganda aimed at defaming Ayodhya and the Ram Mandir.

Appeal for Peace, Patience, and Development Focus
CM Yogi urged Ram devotees to maintain restraint and trust the investigation process, emphasizing that development should remain the priority.
He stated that collective responsibility and unity are essential for the continued growth of Uttar Pradesh and the realization of its development goals.
