CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates “MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0”, Announces ₹40,000 Crore Investment Push for MP

Madhya Pradesh boosts AI, semiconductor and data centre sectors with major technology projects to emerge as a leading industrial hub.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 in Bhopal, marking a major push towards transforming the state into a leading technology and industrial hub in India. The conclave witnessed investment commitments of nearly ₹40,000 crore, which are expected to create more than 34,000 employment opportunities across various sectors.

During the event, the Chief Minister launched 20 industrial and technology-based units with a combined investment of ₹178.70 crore through a single click. These projects are expected to generate around 1,229 jobs and strengthen the state’s IT, electronics and innovation ecosystem.

Madhya Pradesh Focuses on AI, Data Centres and Semiconductor Growth

Addressing industry leaders and investors, CM Mohan Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is rapidly moving beyond its traditional identity of agriculture, minerals and forests and emerging as a hub for advanced industries including:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Semiconductor manufacturing
  • Data centres
  • Global Capability Centres (GCCs)
  • Defence technology
  • Drone manufacturing
  • Renewable energy
  • Industrial corridors

The Chief Minister said India has become one of the world’s fastest-growing economies in the last 12 years and Madhya Pradesh is contributing significantly to this growth journey.

He added that after his visit to Barcelona, companies from Spain, the United States and Canada invested around ₹228 crore in the state.

₹40,000 Crore Investment and 34,000 Jobs Announced at Conclave

CM Mohan Yadav said the MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 resulted in 51 major activities, paving the way for nearly ₹40,000 crore investment and more than 34,000 employment opportunities.

He highlighted that through the previous two Tech Growth Conclaves, Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth around ₹46,000 crore.

Since the Global Investors Summit 2025, technology sector investments worth more than ₹12,000 crore have reached the implementation stage, while 22 industrial units have been inaugurated and four new projects have started construction work.

Spain’s Submer Group to Build ₹20,000 Crore AI-Ready Data Centre in Bhopal

A major highlight of the conclave was the announcement of a massive investment by Spain-based Submer Group.

The company will establish an AI-ready data centre in Bhopal with an investment of nearly $2 billion (around ₹19,000-20,000 crore).

Submer India CEO Patrick Smeltz said Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a strategic destination for global technology companies due to its investor-friendly policies and strong infrastructure.

The project is expected to create around 5,000 direct employment opportunities.

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has approved land allocation of 60,619.30 square metres in the Hajjampura industrial area of Bhopal for the project on a 99-year lease.

Foreign Investment Projects Worth ₹28,200 Crore Reach Ground Stage

The Chief Minister said foreign investments are now moving beyond agreements and becoming operational projects in Madhya Pradesh.

Investment projects worth more than ₹28,200 crore from companies across eight countries are currently progressing in the state.

Major projects include:

  • Submer Group, Spain: ₹20,000 crore AI-ready data centre in Bhopal
  • McCain Foods, Canada: ₹3,800 crore food processing project
  • Haleon (GSK), UK: ₹3,000 crore pharmaceutical project
  • Topan Speciality Films, Japan: ₹1,100 crore speciality film manufacturing unit
  • Renewable energy project by US-based Trueer Split Waters
  • Leather and footwear unit by South Korea’s Boo Young
  • Medical device and pharmaceutical projects from Ireland and UK companies

These projects are expected to boost industrial development, digital infrastructure and employment generation.

Three New IT Parks Announced in Bhopal and Indore

The Madhya Pradesh government announced the development of new IT infrastructure during the conclave.

The major announcements include:

  • A modern IT Park at Indore’s Super Corridor spread over 3 acres
  • Expansion of Bhopal IT Park with a new IT tower and nearly 3 lakh square feet of office space
  • A new plug-and-play IT Park at Kolar Road, Bhopal

These facilities will provide ready-to-use infrastructure for IT companies, GCCs and digital service firms.

Semiconductor Sector Gets Major Push in Madhya Pradesh

Semiconductor development remained a key focus area at MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0.

Semiconductor company CEO Santosh Kumar announced that his company will invest around ₹5,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem.

Another major project includes Paras Semiconductors’ ₹6,000 crore investment for establishing India’s first advanced heterogeneous packaging OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facility in the state.

The project aims to strengthen the semiconductor value chain and position Madhya Pradesh as an emerging semiconductor manufacturing centre.

New Semiconductor and AI Centres of Excellence Announced

CM Mohan Yadav announced several future-focused initiatives, including:

  • Semiconductor Centre of Excellence for research, skills and industry collaboration
  • AI Centre of Excellence at Global Skills Park
  • AI innovation centre with support from the Government of India
  • AVGC-XR Centre of Excellence for animation, gaming and extended reality sectors

The government aims to promote innovation, research, skill development and industry-academic partnerships.

20 Industrial Units Launched With ₹178.70 Crore Investment

During the conclave, CM Yadav inaugurated 20 new industrial and technology-based units.

These projects include companies from sectors such as:

  • IT and IT-enabled services
  • Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM)
  • Innovation-based industries

The units are located mainly in IT parks of Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur.

Together, these projects involve:

  • Investment: ₹178.70 crore
  • Employment generation: 1,229 jobs

Land Allocation Letters Given to 8 Companies

The Chief Minister also distributed land allocation letters to eight companies.

These projects involve:

  • Investment: ₹203.58 crore
  • Direct employment opportunities: 1,242 jobs

The projects will support IT, ITES, electronics manufacturing, infrastructure development and startup ecosystem growth at:

  • Singhassa IT Park, Indore
  • Badwai IT Park, Bhopal

Google Play Signs MoU for AI and Digital Skill Development

An important agreement was signed with Google Play during the conclave to promote:

  • Artificial Intelligence development
  • Digital skills
  • Emerging technology adoption

The partnership aims to encourage innovation and strengthen the digital ecosystem of Madhya Pradesh.

₹422 Crore PCB Manufacturing Project Approved

The state also received approval for a major electronics manufacturing project.

The Centre for Capital Investment Promotion (CCIP) approved Emerald Company’s ₹422 crore PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing project in Bhopal.

The project is expected to create around 314 direct jobs and strengthen electronics manufacturing capabilities in the state.

Government Highlights Investor-Friendly Policies

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said MP Tech Growth Conclave 3.0 is an important part of Madhya Pradesh’s investment promotion strategy.

He highlighted the state’s advantages, including:

  • Investor-friendly policies
  • Skilled workforce
  • Availability of land
  • Plug-and-play infrastructure
  • Reliable power supply
  • Strong educational institutions

He said the future belongs to IT, data centres and digital technologies, and Madhya Pradesh is preparing itself for these emerging sectors.

The conclave brought together industry leaders, investors, technology experts and policymakers for discussions on:
