CM Mohan Yadav Transfers ₹3,300 Crore to 82.70 Lakh Farmers’ Accounts at Khandwa Balram Krishi Mahotsav

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday provided a major financial boost to farmers during the Balram Krishi Mahotsav held in Khandwa. Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the Chief Minister transferred more than ₹3,300 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 82.70 lakh farmers through a single-click transfer.

Farmers received ₹4,000 each as the third instalment for the financial year 2025-26 and the first instalment for 2026-27.

During the programme, CM Mohan Yadav also made several important announcements, including the establishment of a police battalion in Khandwa, early tendering for the Khandwa-Bundi road project, and the launch of government roadways bus services from next month.

CM Mohan Yadav Provides ₹3,300 Crore Farmers’ Welfare Package

Addressing farmers at the Balram Krishi Mahotsav, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously taking important decisions for farmer welfare under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that farmers are the backbone of the country as they produce food through their hard work and dedication.

Key highlights of the financial assistance:

  • Total amount transferred: More than ₹3,300 crore
  • Beneficiaries: 82.70 lakh farmers
  • Scheme: Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana
  • Amount received by each farmer: ₹4,000
  • Mode of transfer: Direct bank transfer through single click

The Chief Minister said that the government has deep respect for farmers and remains committed to improving their income and living standards.

Balram Krishi Mahotsav Organised Across Madhya Pradesh

CM Mohan Yadav said that India’s capabilities are being recognised globally and the country continues to follow the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, considering the entire world as one family.

He highlighted the importance of Lord Balram, who is considered the deity associated with agriculture and farming traditions.

The Chief Minister said that the year 2026 has been declared as ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’ (Farmers’ Welfare Year) with the aim of doubling farmers’ income and promoting agricultural development.

Objectives of Balram Mahotsav include:

  • Promoting modern agricultural practices
  • Encouraging natural farming
  • Supporting food processing
  • Increasing farmer income
  • Creating awareness about new technology in agriculture

Madhya Pradesh Irrigation Capacity Increases to 65 Lakh Hectares

CM Mohan Yadav said that the government’s commitment towards farmers has resulted in a significant increase in irrigation facilities across the state.

He stated that irrigation capacity in Madhya Pradesh has increased from 44 lakh hectares before 2002-03 to 65 lakh hectares currently.

Agriculture development initiatives highlighted by CM Yadav:

  • Expansion of irrigation facilities
  • Better electricity supply for agriculture
  • Improved rural roads
  • Promotion of natural farming
  • Use of modern farming technology
  • Encouragement of drone-based agricultural practices

The Chief Minister said that after the monsoon season, farmers will receive electricity during the daytime for irrigation purposes.

Government Focuses on Dairy Farming and Modern Agriculture

CM Mohan Yadav said that the state government is working to increase farmers’ income through allied agricultural activities.

He highlighted the government’s plan to increase milk production in Madhya Pradesh.

Dairy development target:

  • Current milk production growth rate: 9%
  • Target growth rate: 20%

He said that promoting dairy farming along with agriculture will provide additional income opportunities for farmers.

Khandwa Police Battalion and Road Projects Announced

During the Khandwa programme, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made several infrastructure announcements.

Major announcements include:

  • Establishment of a new police battalion in Khandwa
  • Tender process for the Khandwa-Bundi road project before September 15
  • Government roadways bus service to begin from next month

The Chief Minister said that these initiatives will improve connectivity, strengthen security infrastructure, and provide better transportation facilities to citizens.

Government Schemes for Women, Poor and Healthcare Support

CM Mohan Yadav said that the government is working for the welfare of women, poor families, farmers, and needy citizens.

He highlighted various initiatives:

  • Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries receiving ₹1,500 every month
  • Air ambulance facilities for poor and needy patients
  • Development of religious tourism sites connected with Lord Krishna and Lord Ram
  • Preparations for the Simhastha 2028 event
  • Development works worth thousands of crores at Omkareshwar Dham

The Chief Minister said that these initiatives aim to improve public welfare and strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s infrastructure.

Farmers and Achievers Honoured During Balram Krishi Mahotsav

During the event, CM Mohan Yadav honoured individuals for their outstanding contributions.

Those recognised included:

  • Farmers excelling in organic farming
  • Farmers involved in high-tech agriculture
  • Individuals contributing to food processing
  • Meritorious students
  • Social media influencers

The Chief Minister appreciated their efforts and encouraged innovation in agriculture and education.

CM Mohan Yadav Highlights UCC Support Survey Results

Speaking about the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), CM Mohan Yadav said that the state government has taken steps towards implementing the principle of “one nation, one law.”

He said that the UCC bill has been passed by the state assembly and described it as an important step towards uniform legal provisions.

Details shared by the Chief Minister:

  • More than 3.5 crore people received SMS invitations for the UCC survey
  • More than 10 lakh suggestions were received
  • Over 76% Muslim women respondents supported the implementation of UCC

CM Yadav also mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, women have received relief from practices such as triple talaq.

CM Yadav Reaffirms Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare and Development

The Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Khandwa highlighted the Madhya Pradesh government’s focus on agriculture, farmer welfare, infrastructure development, and social welfare schemes.

With the transfer of ₹3,300 crore to farmers’ accounts and new announcements for roads, security, and public services, the state government said it aims to strengthen rural development and improve opportunities for citizens across Madhya Pradesh.
