Raipur: In a heartwarming visit under the “Suśasan Tihar” initiative, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Lemru in Korba district today and inaugurated a newly constructed house built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) for beneficiary Dharam Singh. The visit turned into a moment of joy and emotional celebration for the family who had long lived in a kutcha house under difficult conditions.
A New Beginning for Dharam Singh’s Family
For Dharam Singh and his family, the day marked a major turning point. After years of struggle in a fragile, temporary home, they finally stepped into a permanent pucca house built under government housing support.
The Chief Minister interacted warmly with the family, inquired about their well-being, and extended best wishes for their new beginning. The atmosphere in the household reflected relief, happiness, and gratitude.
Government’s Focus on Dignity and Basic Housing
While inspecting the newly built home, CM Sai highlighted that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) is not just a housing scheme but a mission to bring dignity, safety, and stability to economically weaker families.
He emphasized that the government is working with full commitment to ensure that welfare schemes reach the last person in the queue, strengthening trust between citizens and governance.
The Chief Minister also encouraged children in the family to focus on education and aim for a better future.
Solar Support Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana
During the visit, the Chief Minister also provided financial assistance of ₹60,000 from the DMF fund as beneficiary contribution support for solar panel installation under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.
He stated that the state government is not only providing housing but also promoting sustainable and improved living conditions through clean energy and essential facilities.

The arrival of the Chief Minister made the family emotional, as they expressed heartfelt gratitude for the benefits received through various welfare schemes, including the housing program.
