New Delhi: ICGS Akshay has officially joined the Indian Coast Guard fleet, giving a major boost to India’s maritime security. The new-generation Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) was commissioned at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) in Vasco, Goa. What are Features of the Vessel
ICGS Akshay belongs to the new-generation Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessel series. The vessel is approximately 52 metres long, has a displacement of around 320 tonnes, and is powered by twin diesel engines with a modern Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) propulsion system for better performance during patrol operations.
