He urged citizens to plant at least one tree in honor of their mothers and actively contribute to building a cleaner, greener capital.
The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Delhi Mega Plantation Drive 2026” represents one of Delhi’s largest-ever environmental campaigns. With a target of 70 lakh saplings, a strong digital ecosystem, and widespread citizen participation, the initiative aims to create a long-term ecological impact while fostering environmental responsibility among residents.
If successfully implemented, the campaign is expected to significantly enhance Delhi’s green cover and set a benchmark for urban afforestation efforts across India.
