New Delhi: The Delhi government has launched a major talent identification initiative titled ‘Hausalon Ki Udaan 2026-27’, aimed at discovering and promoting the creative abilities of more than 25,000 young people across the capital.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the scheme at her official residence, Jan Seva Sadan, describing it as a platform to identify, nurture, and elevate youth talent to the national level.
Objective: Platform for Youth Talent at National Level
The talent hunt scheme is designed to provide structured opportunities for young individuals across Delhi’s 70 Assembly constituencies.
The government has allocated ₹10 crore for the initiative, which will be implemented across multiple stages and categories to ensure wide participation and fair evaluation.

Free Registration for Youth Aged 16–35
Under the scheme, youth between the ages of 16 and 35 can register free of cost through the official portal:

The initiative will begin immediate registrations and aims to ensure inclusive participation from all sections of society.
Seven Categories for Competition
The competition will be conducted across seven major artistic and creative categories, including:
- Singing (Classical, folk, and non-classical music)
- Dance (Classical, folk, and contemporary styles)
- Fine arts and digital art
- Sculpture and pottery
- Music composition
- Instrumental music
- Acting and theatre
These categories are designed to cover a wide range of performing and visual arts.
Four-Stage Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted in four structured stages:
Stage 1: Online Screening
Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted through online registration.
Stage 2: Cluster-Level Competitions
Around 35 cluster-level competitions will be conducted.
Stage 3: Zonal-Level Selection
Selected participants will compete across four zonal-level events, from which 2,450 candidates will be shortlisted.
Stage 4: Grand Finale
The final stage will feature 28 finalists competing in a state-level grand finale scheduled for August.
Public Voting and Jury-Based Evaluation
The evaluation process will include:
- 75% weightage from expert jury assessment
- 25% weightage from public online voting
The grand finale will also feature appearances by prominent Bollywood artists and public figures.
Cash Prizes for Winners
Winners of the competition will receive attractive cash rewards:
- First Prize: ₹2.5 lakh
- Second Prize: ₹2 lakh
- Third Prize: ₹1.5 lakh
- Fourth Prize: ₹1 lakh
The initiative aims to encourage youth participation in arts and provide financial recognition for emerging talent.

Officials said the ‘Hausalon Ki Udaan’ scheme reflects the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, cultural promotion, and building a strong creative ecosystem in Delhi.
