EIL Reports Record FY2025-26 Performance With ₹638.74 Crore Profit and ₹15,109 Crore Order Book

Engineers India expands international business and diversifies into green energy, infrastructure and emerging sectors as fresh orders reach ₹7,978 crore.

New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL) has reported its strongest-ever financial performance for FY2025–26, with record profit, a historic high order book and significant growth in international business as the engineering consultancy and project management company accelerates its diversification beyond its traditional hydrocarbons portfolio.

EIL recorded a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹638.74 crore during FY2025–26, registering growth of nearly 37% over the previous year. The company’s total income increased to ₹4,058.86 crore, compared with ₹3,198 crore in FY2024–25.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at ₹833.50 crore, while EBITDA increased to ₹877.15 crore during the financial year.

EIL Records ₹7,978 Crore Fresh Business

EIL secured fresh business worth ₹7,978 crore during FY2025–26, taking its order book to an all-time high of ₹15,109 crore as of March 31, 2026.

The record order book provides the company with substantial project visibility as it enters the new financial year.

Overseas Business Emerges as Major Growth Driver

International business emerged as a major contributor to EIL’s growth during FY2025–26.

Overseas consultancy contributed around ₹4,929 crore, accounting for nearly 62% of the fresh business secured during the year.

EIL is building on its experience with the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Project in Nigeria and has further strengthened its relationship with the Dangote Group.

The company secured an EPCM mandate for the Dangote Train-2 expansion, valued at approximately US$360 million.

EIL has also secured a separate PMC/EPCM assignment for a new four-train fertiliser project in Nigeria.

EIL Expands Presence in Middle East and Global Markets

EIL has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the operationalisation of its Saudi Arabia office.

The expansion is supported by a long-term in-Kingdom services agreement with Saudi Aramco.

The company’s international portfolio now extends across several markets, including:

  • Mongolia
  • Guyana
  • UAE
  • Bahrain
  • Algeria
  • Kuwait
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Nigeria

The company aims to further expand its international footprint by leveraging its engineering and project-management capabilities.

Atul Kumar Gupta Highlights EIL’s Next Phase of Growth

Commenting on the company’s strategic direction, Atul Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Engineers India Limited, said EIL is entering its next phase by leveraging engineering and project-management capabilities developed over more than six decades.

He highlighted the company’s focus on international expansion and diversification while strengthening its capabilities for emerging sectors.

“Our objective is to build a more diversified, resilient, digital and globally competitive EIL,” Gupta said.

EIL Expands Beyond Traditional Hydrocarbons Business

While hydrocarbons continue to form an important part of EIL’s engineering capabilities, the company is expanding its portfolio into infrastructure and emerging sectors.

Its infrastructure portfolio now includes:

  • Data centres
  • Institutional infrastructure
  • Airports
  • Large public infrastructure projects

During FY2025–26, EIL completed the Reserve Bank of India’s Greenfield Data Centre and Training Institute at Bhubaneswar and continued its association with the Shri Ram Temple Complex at Ayodhya.

The company is also undertaking assignments for premier institutions, including IITs and IIMs.

EIL Strengthens Aviation Infrastructure Portfolio

EIL has also expanded its role in aviation infrastructure.

During FY2025–26, the company completed Independent Engineer services for Noida International Airport while continuing its involvement in other major airport projects.

The aviation and infrastructure portfolio forms part of EIL’s broader strategy to diversify its business beyond hydrocarbons engineering.

Focus on Renewables, Green Hydrogen and Other Emerging Sectors

EIL’s diversification strategy also covers several emerging areas of the energy and industrial sectors.

The company is expanding its capabilities in:

  • Renewable energy
  • Green hydrogen
  • Biofuels
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel
  • Nuclear energy
  • Defence
  • Metallurgy
  • Carbon management
  • Other emerging technologies

The expansion is aimed at positioning EIL to support the changing requirements of India’s energy and infrastructure sectors.

EIL Strengthens Technology and R&D Capabilities

EIL is also strengthening its technology portfolio to support its next phase of growth.

The company’s R&D Centre in Gurugram has developed more than 40 process technologies.

During FY2025–26, EIL filed 24 new patent applications and secured 10 patent grants. This took its active portfolio to 58 granted patents, with another 74 applications under consideration.

The company is using its technology and R&D capabilities to develop solutions across its engineering and project-management activities.

AI Integrated into Engineering and Project Execution

Artificial Intelligence is also being integrated into EIL’s engineering and project execution processes through indigenous digital solutions.

The company’s AI-enabled platforms are being deployed in areas such as:

  • Project engineering
  • Cost estimation
  • Predictive asset integrity management

EIL is combining these digital capabilities with its engineering expertise to improve project execution and strengthen technology-led services.

EIL Positions Itself for India’s Energy Transition

EIL is expanding its capabilities to support the rapidly changing energy landscape and play a larger role in India’s energy transition.

Its energy-transition portfolio includes green hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, biofuels, carbon management and renewable-energy infrastructure.

The company has set a target of achieving Net Zero emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2035.

Significantly, EIL is moving beyond conventional consultancy in selected clean-energy segments by developing and owning energy-transition assets. This represents an evolution in its business model as the company seeks greater participation in emerging energy opportunities.

Record Order Book Provides Multi-Year Project Visibility

With an order book of ₹15,109 crore as of March 31, 2026, EIL enters FY2026–27 with significant project visibility.

The company’s record financial performance, growing international business and diversification into emerging sectors are reshaping its business profile.

EIL is now seeking to expand from its historical strength in hydrocarbons engineering into a broader portfolio covering global energy, infrastructure, sustainability and technology-led sectors.
