Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has effected a minor administrative reshuffle involving five IAS officers, assigning them new posts and additional responsibilities across the state.
The changes include appointments in the General Administration Department, Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and district administration, besides an additional charge for the Surat Municipal Corporation.
Anchu Wilson Appointed Deputy Secretary in GAD
Anchu Wilson has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department (GAD) at Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.
The posting brings Wilson into an important role within the state government’s central administrative machinery.

P B Rathod Gets Additional Charge of DDO, Mehsana
P B Rathod, who is serving as Director, Skill Development, Gandhinagar, has been assigned the additional charge of District Development Officer (DDO), Mehsana.
Rathod will continue to hold his existing responsibilities as Director, Skill Development, while also overseeing the administration of Mehsana district in the capacity of DDO.
Ranjeeth Kumar to Join Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission
Ranjeeth Kumar has been appointed as Secretary, Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).
The appointment places him in a key regulatory role in the state’s electricity sector, where the commission deals with matters related to regulation of the power sector and electricity tariffs.
Nagarajan M Appointed State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha
Nagarajan M has been appointed State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Gandhinagar.
The Samagra Shiksha programme covers school education and focuses on improving educational outcomes and strengthening education infrastructure across the state.
Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar Gets Additional Charge in Surat
Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar, who is serving as Collector, Surat, has been assigned the additional charge of Municipal Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation.
With the additional responsibility, Parmar will oversee both district-level administration as Collector and municipal administration in Surat.
Administrative Responsibilities Reallocated
The latest appointments bring changes across both the state secretariat and field administration. While Anchu Wilson and Ranjeeth Kumar have been moved into new assignments, P B Rathod and Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar have been entrusted with additional responsibilities alongside their existing posts.
The changes also strengthen administrative oversight in key sectors including general administration, skill development, education, electricity regulation and urban governance.
