New Delhi: India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Tourism, has announced the appointment of Vandana Jain as a Government Nominee Director on its Board. The appointment is effective from Friday, as per the company’s disclosure to stock exchanges.
The decision follows a communication from the Ministry of Tourism dated April 28, 2026.
Senior Bureaucrat with Wide Administrative Experience
Vandana Jain is currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor (AS&FA) in the Ministry of Tourism. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics with specialization in International Trade.
Over the years, she has held senior positions across several ministries, including:
- Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
- Ministry of Power
- Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
- Ministry of Defence
Her appointment strengthens government representation on ITDC’s board.

Jain’s appointment comes after the cessation of Ranjana Chopra, who completed her tenure as Senior Financial and Strategic Advisor in the Ministry of Tourism.
The company also noted that formalities for Jain’s appointment are still in progress, including submission of a Director Identification Number (DIN) and other required disclosures.
