Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has decided to launch the ‘Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’ from 7 August across the state to ensure the speedy resolution of public grievances and effective implementation of government welfare schemes.

The campaign will be conducted every Friday, with ministers, elected representatives, district collectors and other government officials visiting villages and urban wards to interact directly with citizens, hear their concerns and review the ground-level implementation of various government schemes.

The initiative aims to bring the administration closer to the people while strengthening accountability, transparency and public trust in governance.

Jan Vishwas Abhiyan to Begin Across Madhya Pradesh From August 7

The Jan Vishwas Abhiyan will officially begin across Madhya Pradesh on 7 August and will be conducted every Friday.

Under the campaign, government representatives and officials will move beyond their offices and reach villages and urban wards to engage directly with residents.

The key objectives of the campaign include:

  • Listening directly to public grievances and concerns.
  • Resolving eligible complaints as quickly as possible.
  • Reviewing the implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.
  • Ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive government benefits on time.
  • Strengthening transparency and administrative accountability.
  • Bringing the government and administration closer to citizens.

Entire Administration to Be in the Field Every Friday

According to the decision taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday, regular major meetings at the Mantralaya, district and divisional levels will not be held every Friday.

Instead, ministers, public representatives and government officials will visit their respective areas and interact directly with the public.

During these field visits, officials will also review the progress of various departmental schemes. The aim is to identify implementation gaps and ensure that government welfare programmes reach eligible beneficiaries without unnecessary delays.

Ministers will also begin the campaign in the districts assigned to them.

Public Grievances to Be Addressed at the Local Level

One of the key objectives of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan is to ensure the timely resolution of public complaints.

Officials will visit both rural and urban areas to hear people’s problems directly. Wherever possible, authorities will attempt to resolve grievances on the spot.

For issues that cannot be addressed immediately, the government has said that their resolution will be ensured within a fixed timeframe.

The approach is expected to reduce the distance between citizens and the administration and make the grievance redressal system more accessible.

Government Schemes to Undergo Ground-Level Review

The campaign will not be limited to hearing public complaints. It will also focus on reviewing the actual implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.

Officials will assess whether welfare and development schemes are reaching the intended beneficiaries and whether there are any obstacles in their implementation.

The field-level review is expected to help the administration:

  • Identify gaps in scheme implementation.
  • Track the progress of government programmes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of benefits.
  • Improve coordination between departments.
  • Address issues faced by beneficiaries.
  • Strengthen monitoring of public welfare schemes.

Initiative Aims to Strengthen Good Governance

Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, while providing information about the Cabinet decisions, described the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan as an important initiative towards good governance.

According to him, the campaign will strengthen direct communication between the government and the people and bring greater transparency to the implementation of government schemes.

He also said that ministers will launch the campaign from the districts under their respective charges.

Strict Action Against Corruption and Negligence

The Madhya Pradesh government has made it clear that strict action will be taken if corruption, irregularities or negligence are found during the campaign.

Officials and employees found responsible for such issues may face disciplinary action.

The campaign will be guided by four key principles:

  • Dialogue
  • Solution
  • Sensitivity
  • Simplicity

The government has also stated that no additional budget has been allocated for the campaign. It will be conducted without unnecessary arrangements or extravagance.

Government Appeals to Citizens to Share Problems and Suggestions

The Madhya Pradesh government has appealed to citizens to actively participate in the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan.

People are encouraged to bring their:

  • Problems
  • Complaints
  • Suggestions
  • Issues related to government schemes

directly before ministers, elected representatives and government officials during the field visits.

The government believes that direct interaction between officials and citizens will help speed up grievance resolution, improve monitoring of welfare schemes and make the administration more transparent and accountable.

Jan Vishwas Abhiyan to Strengthen Public Welfare Efforts

The Madhya Pradesh government has previously conducted public welfare camps and various public outreach programmes to ensure that government schemes reach the last person in society. The Jan Vishwas Abhiyan is being seen as another significant step in the same direction.

Through regular field visits every Friday, the government aims to ensure that administrative officials remain connected with citizens and that public concerns are addressed more effectively.

The initiative is expected to strengthen the implementation of welfare schemes while further building trust between the government and the people of Madhya Pradesh.
