Bhopal/Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav distributed free electric bicycles to women workers in Ujjain, highlighting the state government’s commitment to women empowerment, sustainable mobility, and environmental conservation.
A total of 40 women beneficiaries received e-cycles under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative implemented by the Ujjain district administration.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the free e-cycles would provide greater mobility, independence, and economic support to women employees while also promoting eco-friendly transportation.
CM Mohan Yadav Highlights Importance of Electric Vehicles
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said India is continuously progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to accelerating women empowerment across the state.
He stated that rising fuel prices and the ongoing global energy crisis have increased the importance of electric vehicles.
According to the Chief Minister:
- Electric vehicles are the best alternative during the global energy crisis
- Free e-cycles will empower working women
- Sustainable transport solutions are the need of the future
He appreciated the company that provided the e-cycles through CSR funding and congratulated the women beneficiaries.

Madhya Pradesh Leading in Water Conservation Efforts
During the event, the Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s achievements in water conservation and environmental development.
He said the Madhya Pradesh government has been continuously expanding water conservation projects for the third consecutive year under the ‘Jal Ganga Sanrakshan Mahabhiyan.’

- Development works worth over ₹10,000 crore underway
- More than 2 lakh water conservation projects being executed
- Restoration of rivers, ponds, wells, lakes, and stepwells
- Special conservation activities at river origin sites
The Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh has secured the top position in the country for water conservation initiatives due to the collective efforts of the people.
CM Mentions Bhojshala Decision and Social Harmony
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also referred to the recent developments related to Bhojshala in Dhar.
He said the High Court decision regarding Bhojshala was respected by people from all communities, including Hindus and Muslims.
The Chief Minister emphasized that:
- Court decisions are supreme in a democracy
- The state government is successfully implementing judicial directions
- Social harmony and mutual respect must be maintained
He also mentioned the grand celebration of Ganga Dussehra at Bhojshala.

CM Praises PM Narendra Modi’s Leadership
Speaking about the completion of 12 years of the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said India has achieved remarkable development and established a strong global identity.
He stated that:

- India has achieved rapid growth under his leadership
- The country will continue to strengthen in the coming years
The Chief Minister also prayed at Baba Mahakal for the Prime Minister’s continued good health and service to the nation.

The distribution of e-cycles is expected to:
- Improve daily commuting for women workers
- Reduce transportation expenses
- Encourage clean and green mobility
- Enhance workplace accessibility and independence for women
Officials said similar welfare and sustainable mobility initiatives may be expanded in other districts in the future.
