Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has begun the process to promote 1,050 Patwaris to the post of Revenue Inspector (RI), bringing relief to employees who have been waiting for career progression for several years.
The Revenue Department and the Commissioner of Land Records have started the administrative process by seeking service-related information and documents from district collectors. The verification will cover service records, departmental inquiries and confidential reports before eligible employees are considered for promotion.
The move is also expected to strengthen the state’s revenue administration, particularly in matters related to land records, demarcation and other field-level revenue work.
Promotion Process Moves Ahead
The promotion exercise is being carried out under the applicable promotion rules and service provisions. A preliminary list of eligible Patwaris has been prepared, and district administrations have been asked to verify the information before the process moves to the next stage.
According to the available details, the state has identified 1,050 Patwaris for the promotion process. The Commissioner of Land Records has sought detailed information from collectors to ensure that the service records of the concerned employees are complete and accurate.
