Medininagar (Palamu): The Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) is set to launch an ‘AI Builder Bootcamp’ to connect rural and tribal youth with emerging artificial intelligence technologies and provide them with new opportunities in employment, self-employment and innovation.
The initiative is being launched jointly by PTR and a partner voluntary organisation under the reserve’s ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ programme. An open counselling and orientation session for the bootcamp will be held on August 22, 2026, at NIC Betla.
AI Training to Help Rural Youth Build New Skills
The AI Builder Bootcamp aims to provide children and young people from rural and tribal communities with practical exposure to artificial intelligence.
Through the programme, participants will learn the fundamentals and applications of AI and explore how technology can be used to develop new ideas, projects and solutions.
The initiative is designed to help young people build skills that could open up opportunities in:
- Employment
- Self-employment
- Technology
- Innovation
- Entrepreneurship
PTR Expands ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ Programme
The AI initiative builds on PTR’s existing ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ programme, under which more than 600 children and young people have already received traditional and employment-oriented training in different trades.
With AI becoming increasingly relevant across sectors, PTR is now seeking to expand the programme by introducing rural youth to rapidly developing digital technologies.
The initiative aims to combine traditional skills with modern technology to help young people prepare for changing employment opportunities.
PTR Aims to Break the Perception That AI Is Only for Urban Youth
PTR Field Director S.R. Natesh said there is often a perception in rural areas that advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence are meant only for children in cities.
The AI Builder Bootcamp seeks to challenge this perception by providing rural youth with access to training, guidance and opportunities to explore AI.
With the right support, rural children and young people can understand and use AI and develop their own ideas and solutions, according to Natesh.
AI Opportunities Across Education, Agriculture and Other Sectors
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used across a wide range of sectors, including:
- Education
- Agriculture
- Business
- Healthcare
- Environment
- Tourism
- Employment and skill development
PTR believes that connecting rural youth with these technological developments can provide them with valuable opportunities for their future.
AI Builder Bootcamp Orientation on August 22
An open counselling and orientation session for the AI Builder Bootcamp will be held on August 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm at NIC Betla.
AI experts will provide participants with details about the proposed training programme and explain what they can expect to learn during the bootcamp.
The orientation will also cover:
- Skills and concepts to be taught during the bootcamp
- Types of projects and solutions participants can develop
- Certification opportunities
- Awards and recognition opportunities
Students and faculty members from various colleges in the region, along with representatives of educational institutions, have been invited to attend the programme.
PTR Focuses on Employment and Innovation Opportunities
Through the AI Builder Bootcamp, PTR aims to provide rural youth with modern technical skills alongside traditional vocational training. The initiative seeks to create new pathways for employment, self-employment and innovation, while encouraging young people from villages to explore opportunities in the technology sector.
The programme also aims to convey that rural youth are capable of learning and using advanced technologies when provided with the right opportunities, training and guidance.
