Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday distributed appointment letters to 276 newly selected candidates across four state government departments, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to transparent and merit-based recruitment.
The appointment letter distribution ceremony was held at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, Chief Minister’s Camp Office.
Department-wise Distribution of Posts
The newly appointed recruits have been selected for the following departments:
- Forest Department: 109 candidates
- Women Empowerment and Child Development Department: 88 candidates
- Technical Education Department: 65 candidates
- Town and Country Planning Department: 14 candidates
CM Dhami Highlights Transparency in Recruitment
Addressing the newly selected candidates, CM Dhami said that receiving an appointment letter is not just a personal achievement but also the beginning of a greater responsibility towards public service.
He emphasized that the success of the candidates reflects years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government has taken several steps to ensure fair, transparent, and accountable recruitment processes in Uttarakhand.
Strict Anti-Cheating Law Strengthens Exam System
Dhami highlighted the implementation of Uttarakhand’s anti-cheating law, calling it one of the strictest measures against examination malpractice in the country.
He said the law has played a key role in ensuring merit-based recruitment and restoring public trust in government job examinations.
33,000 Youths Provided Government Jobs in 4.5 Years
The Chief Minister also informed that around 33,000 youths have been provided government employment in the last four-and-a-half years through transparent recruitment processes.
He urged the newly appointed employees to work with honesty, sensitivity, and dedication in their respective departments.
Role of Departments in State Development
CM Dhami underlined the importance of each department in the state’s development:
- Forest Department: Conservation of forests and biodiversity protection
- Technical Education Department: Strengthening skill development and technical learning
- Women Empowerment and Child Development Department: Implementation of welfare and empowerment schemes
- Town and Country Planning Department: Support for planned urban development
Vision for Developed Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister said the state government is working towards the vision of a developed Uttarakhand, aligned with the national goal of a developed India by 2047.
