Lucknow: In a sweeping administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has appointed 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers as District Magistrates (DMs) for the first time, marking a significant milestone in their careers.
The development comes amid a major bureaucratic overhaul in which 64 IAS officers were transferred in less than 20 hours, with as many as 25 districts witnessing a change in leadership at the District Magistrate level.

2. Alok Yadav – District Magistrate, Shamli
A 2015-batch IAS officer, Alok Yadav assumes charge in Shamli, where his administrative experience will play a key role in driving development.
3. Abhishek Goyal – District Magistrate, Hamirpur
