Sultanpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a major development drive in Sultanpur and Isauli Assembly constituencies by inaugurating 65 projects and laying the foundation stone of 34 new works worth ₹819 crore.
Before addressing a public gathering at the Circus Ground in Sultanpur, the Chief Minister pressed a button to inaugurate and initiate development projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, tourism, and public facilities in the district.
₹819 Crore Development Projects Launched in Sultanpur and Isauli
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 65 completed projects and laid the foundation stone for 34 upcoming projects with a combined cost of ₹81,900.37 lakh (around ₹819 crore).
The inaugurated projects include:
- 32 projects in Sultanpur Assembly constituency worth ₹43,466.78 lakh
- 33 projects in Isauli Assembly constituency worth ₹12,234.80 lakh
The foundation stones were laid for:
- 29 projects in Sultanpur worth ₹25,321.53 lakh
- 5 projects in Isauli worth ₹877.26 lakh
The projects cover multiple sectors, including roads, bridges, healthcare, education, tourism, police infrastructure, and water supply.

Better Connectivity Driving Sultanpur’s Growth: CM Yogi
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said improved road connectivity and strong infrastructure are helping Sultanpur move rapidly on the path of development.
He highlighted that major highways passing through the district have reduced travel time and improved regional connectivity.
According to the Chief Minister:
- A significant portion of the Ayodhya-Prayagraj Highway
- Varanasi-Lucknow Highway
- Purvanchal Expressway
passes through the district, bringing major economic and connectivity benefits.
He said improved infrastructure has reduced the travel time to Ayodhya International Airport to around 45 minutes.

Among the key projects inaugurated include:
- Residential buildings at Baldirai Tehsil
- Development of Narsingh Bhagwan Temple at Somnabhar
- Hostels and barracks at police stations including:
- Baldirai
- Dhammaur
- Haliyapur
- Kudwar
- Mahila Police Station
- Kotwali Dehat
- Karebhar
- Gosaiganj
- Works under the Jal Jeevan Mission
- Government Medical College, Dubeypur
- Widening of Katka-Mayanga and Amhat-Bhadar roads
- Nursing college and 100-bed hostel
- Modern laboratory facilities at ITI
- Additional construction at District Jail
- Renovation of Pant Sports Stadium
Foundation Stones Laid for New Infrastructure Projects
The upcoming projects include several major infrastructure and public welfare works.
Key projects include:
- Widening of Pakdi Bazaar-Bankepur Road
- Bridge and approach road at Nirsahia Gomti Ghat
- Bridge and approach road over Gomti River at Golaghat
- Construction of District Museum
- Mini Indoor Stadium at Government Inter College (GIC)
- Residential buildings at Kotwali Nagar and Gosaiganj
- Development of DIET as a Centre of Excellence
- Gomti Corridor project at Sitakund
- 100-bed girls hostel and 140-bed boys hostel at Medical College
- Veterinary hospital at Mahmoodpur
- Development works at Government Craftsman Instructor Training Institute
- Administrative building for Cyber Police Station
- Tourism development of Hanuman Temple at Nirsahia, Kudwar
- Construction of Government High School at Khara
₹1,666 Crore Additional Development Plan Likely to Receive Approval
During the divisional review meeting, the Public Works Department presented a proposal of development projects worth ₹1,666.45 crore for Sultanpur district.
The Chief Minister referred to the proposal during his public address and assured that necessary approvals would be considered soon.
The proposed plan includes 904 works related to roads, bridges, and helipads across:
- Sultanpur
- Sadar
- Kadipur
- Lambhua
- Isauli
- Part of Jagdishpur Assembly areas
Major Road and Infrastructure Works Under Proposed Plan
The ₹1,666 crore proposal includes:
- Construction of 509 new rural roads under the Chief Minister Rural Road Scheme
- Development of roads connecting villages with major routes
- Construction of roads near block and tehsil headquarters
- Development of religious and public utility roads
- Widening of 18 roads covering 18.8 km
- Road safety improvement works on 16 roads
- Construction of 48 small and medium bridges
- Development of 12 helipads
- Repair and patchwork of 287 damaged roads
These projects are expected to further improve transportation facilities and support economic growth in the region.
Focus on Healthcare, Education and Tourism Development
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Uttar Pradesh Government is working towards creating modern facilities in healthcare, education, tourism, and public services.
Projects such as medical college expansion, nursing facilities, sports infrastructure, temple development, and improved water supply systems are aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
