Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Shri Nitya-Shanti Bhavan in Ahmedabad and participated in the sacred Pratishtha Mahotsav (consecration ceremony) of Lord Shri Munisuvrat Swami. The Chief Minister took part in the religious rituals as part of the temple inauguration programme and offered prayers during the consecration ceremony.
The event marked a significant spiritual and cultural gathering, where devotees participated in traditional rituals associated with the temple’s inauguration.
CM Highlights Cultural and Educational Initiatives in Gujarat
Earlier on Thursday, CM Bhupendra Patel addressed the ongoing Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav programme, which was originally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2003 during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
He stated that the initiative has evolved beyond a government-driven programme into a people’s movement, supported by parents, teachers, and village communities across the state. According to him, collective participation has been key to strengthening school enrolment and improving education awareness.
24th Shala Praveshotsav 2026 Focuses on 100% School Enrolment
On the third day of the 24th Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav 2026, the Chief Minister continued efforts aimed at improving education standards and achieving 100 per cent school enrolment in Gujarat.
During the event, CM Patel personally welcomed newly admitted students at Pimpan and Sanand Model School in Ahmedabad district, encouraging them to pursue education with dedication.
He emphasised that sustained government efforts have helped the state move closer to universal enrolment in schools. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to:
- Identifying school dropouts
- Counselling parents and families
- Reintegrating children into the education system
The Chief Minister further urged parents to prioritise both education and the long-term future of their children alongside economic progress.
Student Admissions at Sanand Model School
At Sanand Model School, a total of 209 students were enrolled during the Praveshotsav programme. The admissions included:
- 142 students in Class 9
- 50 students in Class 11 (General Stream)
- 17 students in Class 11 (Science Stream)
As part of the ceremony, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries distributed educational kits to the newly admitted students and formally welcomed them into the academic environment.
Government Push for Education and Social Awareness
The Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav campaign continues to play a key role in Gujarat’s education outreach strategy. The initiative focuses on increasing enrolment, reducing dropout rates, and strengthening grassroots participation in education.
Officials reiterated that the programme aims to ensure that every child in the state receives access to quality education, aligning with Gujarat’s broader development goals.
