Once Again a Major Reshuffle in Bureaucracy in Bihar: 22 IPS officers including DG, ADG along with 172 DSP transferred

In another major reshuffle in Bihar just before Panchayat Election 2021, a large number of administrative and police officers have been transferred. While four officers of the Indian Administrative Service have been given additional charge, 22 IPS officers including a DG and 5 ADG have been transferred and posted. 6 senior officers have been given new responsivities, 16 ASPs have also been changed.

Narmadeshwar Lal, posted in the Industries Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department. Apart from this, three IAS officers posted in Bihar have been released for central deputation. The General Administration Department on Thursday issued notification regarding this.

DG Alok Raj was appointed as DG of Training and was also given additional charge of Special Armed Police. ADG CID Vinay Kumar has been given additional charge of Law and Order as well as Additional Director General of Police and ADG Provision.

Jitendra Singh Gangwar has been transferred and posted as ADG Headquarters. ADG Headquarters Jitendra Kumar has been given additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Crime Research Department and Managing Director, Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation.

DSP level officers have also been transferred on a large scale. According to the order issued by the Home Department, the officers of Bihar Police Service have also been transferred and posted.

Secretariat and Town DSP have also been transferred from Patna. Secretariat DSP Rajesh Prabhakar has been sent to STF while Town DSP has been posted at Bihar Police Headquarters.

In another important movement, the Bihar government has announced the names of the chairman and members of the Technical Service Commission. Secretary of Rural Development Department, IAS officer Bala Murugan D. has been appointed as chairman of Bihar Technical Service Commission. The General Administration Department has issued a notification in this regard.

Two retired IAS officers have also been appointed as members in the Technical Service Commission. Promoted from Engineering Services to IAS, RP Singh and retired IAS officer Rakesh Mohan have been made members of the commission. He has been appointed as a member of the Technical Services Commission for the next 3 years with effect from the date of his taking charge.
