New Delhi/Srinagar: With preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra entering the final phase, Jammu & Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat has directed senior police officials across the Union Territory to maintain a high state of readiness and strengthen security arrangements along pilgrimage routes and other sensitive locations.
The directions were issued during a high-level security review meeting held just two days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed arrangements for the upcoming pilgrimage. The DGP emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, seamless coordination among agencies, and proactive security measures to ensure the safe conduct of one of India’s largest religious pilgrimages.
DGP Calls for Heightened Vigil Across Sensitive Locations
