New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday said that the national capital will no longer be seen only as a transit hub but will be developed into a major global tourism destination.
She made the remarks while addressing the Tourism Stakeholders Conference as the chief guest.
Focus on Making Delhi a ‘Destination City’
CM Rekha Gupta said that Delhi must be repositioned as a place where tourists stay longer, experience more, and return again, rather than just passing through.
She emphasized that inputs from industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders will be incorporated into future tourism policies to strengthen the sector.

He added that the Centre’s support will help position Delhi as a global face of new India.
