Major Healthcare Reforms and Cancer Control Initiative
In the health sector, the Cabinet approved several important decisions:
- Amendment in nursing training rules to improve education quality
- Approval for 6 contractual appointments for cancer prevention efforts
These steps are aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and improving specialized medical services in the state.
Big Boost to Road Infrastructure Projects
The Cabinet gave clearance to multiple large-scale infrastructure projects, including:
- Narayani Path project in Saran
- Ganga Path (Koylaover to Buxar), to be named Vishwamitra Path
- Northern Ganga Path DPR approval (56 km stretch from Vidupur to Dighwara)
- 73.51 km 4-lane Greenfield road from Darihara to Dumaria Ghat (Gopalganj)
These projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity and regional development across Bihar.
Strengthening Law and Administrative Framework
Key approvals were also given to enhance governance and security:
- Formation of Bihar Judicial Academy Rules to improve judicial training
- Creation of a new Additional Superintendent of Police (Urban), Patna post

Cultural and Institutional Reforms Approved
The Cabinet also cleared several proposals related to culture and environment:
- Establishment of reading hall in Jan Nayak Karpuri Thakur Memorial Museum
- Renaming it as “Bharat Ratna Jan Nayak Karpuri Thakur Memorial Museum-cum-Reading Hall”
This move is aimed at promoting research and cultural learning.
Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park Renamed as Patna Zoo
A major change in tourism branding was also approved:
- Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park renamed as “Patna Zoo”
- Management body renamed as “Patna Zoo Management and Development Society”
The decision aims to improve global recognition and tourism branding of the facility.
Bihar Green Climate Fund Approved
In a significant environmental initiative, the Cabinet approved the formation of the Bihar Green Climate Fund, aimed at promoting:
