New Delhi/Srinagar: The Central Government has approved the inter-cadre transfer of 2021 batch IPS officer Diksha Yadav from the Bihar cadre to the AGMUT cadre on the grounds of marriage to fellow IPS officer Dwarka Gaddi.
The move enables the young officer, who gained national attention as Bihar’s “Lady Singham” and as a Sword of Honour winner at the National Police Academy, to serve in the same cadre as her husband, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir and is currently posted in the AGMUT cadre.
Centre Approves Inter-Cadre Transfer on Marriage Grounds
The Ministry of Home Affairs approved Diksha Yadav’s transfer under the policy that permits inter-cadre transfers of All India Services officers when both spouses belong to the IAS, IPS, or IFoS and wish to serve in the same cadre, subject to approval by the competent authority.
