Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has launched a dedicated CM Kisan Helpline (155253) to provide direct assistance and information to farmers across the state. The initiative was unveiled during the Agriculture Karmayogi Orientation Training and Workshop held at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on April 30, 2026.
The helpline aims to strengthen farmer support systems by offering timely guidance on agriculture-related issues and government schemes.
Launch of Farmer Welfare Dashboard and Membership Drive
Along with the helpline, the Chief Minister also introduced:
- CM Kisan Kalyan Dashboard for real-time farmer-related data
- A mega membership drive for PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies)
These initiatives are designed to improve transparency, accessibility, and coordination across multiple agriculture-related departments.

16 Departments Unite for Farmer Welfare Initiatives
Highlighting the importance of integrated governance, CM Mohan Yadav stated that 16 departments—including horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and cooperation—are working together under the “Farmer Welfare Year” initiative.
The workshop is aimed at enhancing coordination among departments and equipping officials with better tools and knowledge to serve farmers effectively.
Government Focus on Innovation and Farmer Income Growth
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for adopting modern agricultural practices and innovation. He noted that farmers are now:
- Earning additional income through agri-waste processing
- Producing fodder from crop residues like wheat, paddy, and maize
- Benefiting from improved Minimum Support Prices (MSP)
The state government is currently procuring wheat at ₹2625 per quintal, reflecting increased support for farmers.
Improved Irrigation and Multi-Cropping Opportunities
CM Yadav highlighted significant improvements in irrigation infrastructure, stating that:
- Canal networks and electricity access have expanded
- Farmers are now able to grow multiple crops, including a third summer crop
- Agricultural productivity has improved across regions
He also announced a ₹600 per quintal bonus on urad procurement, further boosting farmer income.
Inspiration from Global Agricultural Models
Referring to countries like Israel, CM Yadav stressed the importance of modern farming techniques and efficient water use. He encouraged farmers and youth to view agriculture as a profitable and innovative sector.
Major River Linking Projects to Transform Agriculture
Under the guidance of Narendra Modi, the state is benefiting from key river-linking projects such as:
- Ken-Betwa Link Project
- Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Project
These initiatives are expected to significantly improve irrigation and water availability in multiple districts of Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states.
Workshop Brings Together 1,600+ Agriculture Officials
The large-scale workshop saw participation from 1,627 selected officials and employees across 55 districts, representing 16 agriculture-related departments.
These include:
- Agriculture Department
- Fisheries Department
- Horticulture Department
- Seed Corporation
- Agricultural Engineering Department
- Krishi Vigyan Kendra scientists
The initiative aims to build a strong network of “Agriculture Karmayogis” dedicated to farmer welfare.
