New Delhi: NHPC Limited has appointed Dr. Bernadette Lyngdoh as an Independent Director on its Board for an initial tenure of three years. The appointment was made following communication from the Ministry of Power and is part of NHPC’s efforts to strengthen its Board structure with greater representation of women leaders.
Dr. Lyngdoh joins NHPC as a Woman Independent Director, bringing more than two decades of experience in human resources, corporate affairs, academia, organisational development, and leadership management.
NHPC confirmed that Dr. Lyngdoh is not debarred from holding the position of director by any order issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other regulatory authority.

She currently serves as Head – HR & Corporate Affairs at Caliche, where she manages key areas including:

Dr. Lyngdoh holds a doctoral degree from The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad.
