- Departure from Noida (Jewar): 6:55 pm
- Arrival in Lucknow: 8:00 pm
- Inbound inaugural arrival: 8:05 am (Lucknow to Noida)

High-Level Delegation and Dignitaries Expected
The inaugural flight is expected to witness the presence of several top political leaders and officials.
Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, Chief Secretary S. P. Goyal, and other ministers are likely to travel on the first flight from Lucknow to Noida.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, and Gautam Budh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma are expected to be present to receive the inaugural flight at the airport.
Officials also confirmed that all seats on the first flight have been fully booked.
Major Step for Uttar Pradesh Aviation Network
The launch of the Jewar airport is being seen as a significant boost to regional connectivity. Until now, most passengers traveling between Noida and Lucknow relied on flights via Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport or road transport.
Officials said the new air link will reduce travel time and improve connectivity between Uttar Pradesh’s key economic and administrative centers, encouraging further airline participation on the route.
A Lucknow airport spokesperson noted that additional airlines are expected to introduce similar services soon, further strengthening intra-state air connectivity.
Security Arrangements and Infrastructure Readiness
Authorities have implemented extensive security and operational measures for the airport’s launch.
According to officials, a multi-layered security system has been deployed, including AI-based surveillance and real-time monitoring systems. Nearly 1,030 personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have been stationed at the airport.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has also established a dedicated airport police station with officers and staff deployed for round-the-clock security.
Surveillance systems include high-resolution CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition, behaviour analysis, and automated threat detection capabilities.
Additional emergency preparedness includes dog squads, firefighting units, medical response teams, and quick reaction teams stationed across the airport premises.
Emotional and Historic Moment for Project Stakeholders
Shailendra Bhatia, nodal officer at Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), described the launch as a historic milestone, noting the emotional significance of seeing the first flight land at the airport.
He added that security arrangements have been implemented in accordance with Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines, ensuring full preparedness for operations.
Officials from Zurich Airport and NIAL also expressed readiness to welcome passengers and operate the inaugural services smoothly.
A New Aviation Hub for Uttar Pradesh
The inauguration of Noida International Airport in Jewar marks a major step in strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s aviation and economic connectivity. With direct air links between Lucknow and Noida, the new route is expected to ease travel, reduce dependency on Delhi, and support regional development in the coming years.
