NTPC WR-I Mumbai Honoured for ₹7.17 Crore CSR Contribution to Healthcare in Gujarat

Mumbai: NTPC Western Region-I Headquarters (WR-I HQ), Mumbai has been recognized for its significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution to healthcare in Gujarat. The organization received a Memento of Appreciation for donating ₹7.17 crore to the Indian Red Cross Society over the financial years 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26.

Strengthening Healthcare Through CSR

The CSR contribution has played a vital role in enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services across multiple regions of Gujarat, improving accessibility to quality medical care for communities in need. Key impacts include:

Recognition Ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar

The memento was formally presented on April 16, 2026, at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar, by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat to Jitendra Kumar, Deputy General Manager (CSR), NTPC WR-I HQ, Mumbai.

The event emphasized public-private collaboration in advancing healthcare outcomes and community welfare.

High-Level Dignitaries at the Event

The ceremony was attended by senior officials including:

  • Rajeev Topno, Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat
  • Ajaybhai Patel, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch, and Senior Vice President, Indian Olympic Association

Their presence reinforced the importance of coordinated efforts between government, public sector enterprises, and humanitarian organizations in improving healthcare infrastructure.
