Several Bureaucrats Reshuffled At The Joint Secy Rank, IRS Anurag Srivastava Made Joint Secy, Atomic Energy

The Center lately carried out a massive bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring several eminent bureaucrats at the Joint Secretary level (at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix).

The reshuffled bureaucrats are:

  • Ms. Nila Mohanan (2007-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat for an overall tenure of five years up to 04.10.2025 which is further extendable for an additional two years on availability of cadre clearance. She replaces Ashutosh Jindal (IAS: 1995: TR). Currently, she is Joint Secretary, DOPT.
  • Mr. Samir Ashwin Vakil (1998-batch IRS IT officer) was appointed as Director of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces IAS Keshav Chandra.
  • Ms. Aishvarya Singh (2008-batch IAS) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for an overall tenure up to 05.02.2025 replacing IAS Vipul Bansal. Currently, she is Joint Secretary, PMO.
  • Mr. Muktanand Agrawal (2008-batch IAS) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for an overall tenure of five years up to 06.11.2027. He replaces IFoS Ashish Kumar Srivastava.
  • Mr. Purna Chandra Kishan (2005-batch IAS) was appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a tenure of five years replacing IAS Pankaj Yadav.
  • Mr. Anurag Srivastava (1993-batch IRS IT officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary & FA, Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai  for a tenure of five years by temporarily downgrading the vacant post of AS & FA. He replaces IAS Rajeev Kumar Mital.
  • Ms. Ekta Vishnoi (1999-batch IRS IT officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Bio-Technology for a combined tenure of seven years up to 05.11.2026. She replaces IFoS Chaitanya Murti.
  • Mr. Siddharth Jain (2001-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation for a tenure of five years replacing CSS Alok Agarwal.
  • Mr. Kaul Sanjay Moolchand (2001-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five replacing IFoS Sanjukta Mudgal.
  • Mr. Pawan Kumar Sharma (1999-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a tenure of five years by temporarily downgrading the vacant post of Additional Secretary in the Department. He replaces IAS Nivedita Shukla Verma.
  • Ms. Amit Satija (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for an overall tenure of five years up to 16.04.2028 replacing IFoS Surendra Prasad Yadav.
  • Mr. Alok Tiwari (2007-batch IAS officer) was appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for an overall tenure of five years up to 26.09.2026 IAS K Manicka Raj.
  • Mr. Sanjay Kumar (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for an overall tenure of five years up to 26.01.2027 replacing CSS R K Gupta.
  • Mr. Ajeet Kumar (2002-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India for a tenure of five years replacing IAS Ajay Bhadoo.
  • Mr. Nand Kumarum (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as CEO of the National eGovernance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics & IT for an overall tenure of five years up to 17.07.2027 replacing IAS Abhishek Singh.
  • Mr. Anirudh Kumar (1995-batch IRSME officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years replacing IAS Dheeraj Sahu.
  • Officer Latha Ganapathy (2007-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years up to 02.10.2027 replacing IPS Vipul Aggarwal.
  • Mr. Nikhil Gajraj (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years up to 27.08.2024 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance replacing IAS Aradhana Patnaik.
  • Mr. V Kiran Gopal (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, National Health Authority (NHA) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare for an overall tenure of five years up to 11.11.2026.
  • Mr. Sudhanshu Panwar (1997-batch IRSME officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries for a tenure of five years IRAS Mukta Shekhar.
  • Mr. Niraj Kumar Bansod (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years upto 29.08.2027 replacing CSS Shri Prakash. 
  • Mr. Sunil Kumar (1995-batch IRAS officer) was appointed as Additional Registrar General, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner under MHA for a combined tenure of seven years up to 07.05.2026 ISS Shri Sanjay.
  • Mr. P Bala Kiran (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Andhra Pradesh, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.
  • Ms. Pooja Pandey (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.
  • Ms. Sheetal Verma (2007-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Director (Census Operations) (JS level), Uttar Pradesh, O/o Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India under MHA for an overall tenure upto 31.12.2025 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer from Director level to Joint Secretary level.
  • Officer Vatsalya Saxena (1994-batch IRS IT officer) was appointed as CEO, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the Ministry of MSME for a tenure up to superannuation on 30.04.2028 replacing IRSEE Vinit Kumar.
  • Mr. Kumar Ravi Kant Singh (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Military Affairs for a combined tenure of seven years up to 01.06.2025 replacing IAS Shantanu.
  • Mr. Ram Singh (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs for an overall tenure of five years up to 24.05.2027 replacing IAS Jitendra Singh Raje.
  • Mr. Dhrijesh Kumar Tiwari (1998-batch ISS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) under the NITI Aayog for a tenure of five years replacing IPoS Shailendra Kumar Dwivedi.
  • Mr. J Ashok Kumar (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) for an overall tenure of five years upto 03.03.2027 replacing IPoS Rajul Bhatt.
  • Ms. Chhavi Bhardwaj (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, DOPT for an overall tenure of five years up to 17.07.2027 replacing IAS Nila Mohanan.
  • Mr. Shyama Prasad Roy (CSS) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Capacity Building Commission (CBC) under DOPT for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading a post of Director in the Commission to Joint Secretary level, initially for two years.
  • Officer V Lalithalakshmi (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Secretary, Capacity Building Commission (CBC), with additional charge of the post of CEO, Karmayogi Bharat under DOPT for an overall tenure of five years up to 28.02.2027.
  • Mr. Shiv Kumar (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under DOPT for an overall tenure of five years up to 02.12.2026 replacing IRPS Praveen Kumari Singh.
  • Mr. Vinod Seshan (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas for an overall tenure of five years up to 08.03.2027, replacing IRAS Sunil Kumar.
  • Mr. Naval Kishore Ram (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue for an overall tenure of five years up to 10.08.2025 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance replacing IAS Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey.
  • Ms. Rohini R Bhajibhakare (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for an overall tenure of five years up to 27.11.2024 which is further extendable for additional two years on availability of cadre clearance. She replaces IAS Amit Kataria.
  • Ms. Dipti Aditya Kanade (2008-batch IAS officer) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Space, Bengaluru for an overall tenure of five years up to 24.04.2027 replacing CSS G Jayanti.
