New Delhi: SJVN Limited has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for the supply of green hydroelectric power from three upcoming projects in Himachal Pradesh. The total contracted capacity under the agreements stands at 658 MW, marking a significant step in India’s renewable energy expansion.
The agreements were signed in Vadodara, Gujarat, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations, reinforcing long-term energy cooperation between the two entities.
Details of the 658 MW Hydro Power Projects
The PPAs cover three major hydroelectric projects under development in Himachal Pradesh:
- 66 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project
- 210 MW Luhri Stage-I Hydro Electric Project
- 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project
These projects collectively contribute to a total capacity of 658 MW, strengthening SJVN’s clean energy portfolio and long-term power supply commitments.

Agreement Signed in Vadodara
The agreements were formally executed in Vadodara, Gujarat, on June 29, 2026. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations.
The agreement was signed by:
- Aman Katoch, General Manager (Contracts & Sales Operations), SJVN
- Sanjay Mathur, General Manager (Commerce), GUVNL
The presence of senior leadership highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership.
