New Delhi: In the recent empanelment of 41 officers for Joint Secretary and equivalent posts at the Centre, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, a total of nine officers from the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) have also been included.
The empanelment, cleared on April 21, 2026, enables these officers to be considered for senior policymaking roles in the Government of India, marking a significant milestone in their administrative careers.
CSS Representation in JS-Level Empanelment
Out of the total 41 officers empanelled, nine belong to the CSS. These include:
- Five officers from the SSGSL 2020 batch
- Four officers from the SSGSL 2021 batch

The following four officers of the SSGSL 2021 batch of CSS have been empanelled for Joint Secretary or equivalent posts (initial):

- Pavenash Kumar Sharma
