The Karnataka government has revised the transfer orders of two Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, making key changes in postings related to forest divisions and tiger reserve administration in the state.
Under the modified orders, senior IFS officer Shinde Nilesh Deoba will continue as the Director of Anshi-Dandeli National Park and Kali Tiger Reserve Forest in Uttara Kannada district. The decision ensures continuity in the management of one of Karnataka’s most ecologically sensitive forest landscapes.
Meanwhile, IFS officer Sumitkumar Subhashrao Patil has now been appointed as the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF), Bidar division. Earlier transfer orders had proposed his posting to the Virajpet division, but the government has now revised the assignment.

Changes in Forest Department Postings
Following Patil’s revised posting, Ashish Reddy M. V. has been appointed as the new DCF of Kalaburagi Division. The reshuffle is part of the state government’s ongoing administrative adjustments within the Forest Department aimed at streamlining field-level governance and strengthening forest administration across Karnataka.
The revised notification comes amid continued focus on wildlife conservation, forest protection, and administrative efficiency in key forest divisions of the state.
