  • ₹4.38 crore approved for construction of approximately 20 km of internal rural roads in Tanakpur and Banbasa regions under Champawat constituency.

These projects are expected to significantly improve mobility, access to markets, and connectivity in rural Uttarakhand.

Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation Support

The state government has also prioritized humanitarian assistance:

  • ₹3.36 lakh approved from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to provide rental housing support for 14 families affected by natural disasters in Majhada-Karli Gad village, Dehradun district.
  • The assistance will cover accommodation expenses for six months, ensuring temporary rehabilitation support for affected households.

Renewable Energy & Green Infrastructure Expansion

In a major push towards clean energy, the state has approved large-scale solar initiatives:

  • ₹35.24 crore sanctioned for installation of 5.5 MW grid-connected solar power plants on government buildings.
  • Additional funding approved for:
    • Solar street lights
    • Solar high-mast lighting systems
    • Solar water heater projects in public institutions and spaces

These projects aim to promote sustainable energy adoption and reduce dependence on conventional electricity sources.

Boost to Tourism and Regional Development

The approvals also aim to strengthen tourism infrastructure and local economies, particularly in religious and remote regions. Development of the Adi Kailash route and surrounding facilities is expected to enhance pilgrimage tourism and improve accessibility for visitors.

The ₹42 crore package of approvals reflects a multi-sector development push by the Pushkar Singh Dhami government, focusing on infrastructure expansion, rural connectivity, disaster rehabilitation, renewable energy, and religious tourism development across Uttarakhand.

These initiatives collectively aim to improve quality of life, strengthen regional infrastructure, and support sustainable development across the state.
