Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday conducted the ground-breaking ceremony for multiple development and construction projects worth over ₹103 crore at the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College in Raipur. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure and improving medical education facilities.
The expansion project at the medical college is expected to significantly enhance patient care services as well as academic and residential facilities for students and staff.
Expansion of Medical Infrastructure at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College
The development works were launched at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, one of the key medical education institutions in the state.
Addressing the gathering, CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted that the expansion of the college and hospital will benefit not only Raipur but the entire state. He also noted that a long-pending demand for student hostel facilities has now been fulfilled as part of the new development package.
The upgraded infrastructure is expected to support increased student intake, better accommodation, and improved healthcare delivery systems.
‘Chintan Shivir 3.0’ Focuses on Governance Reforms and Development Roadmap
Earlier, the Chief Minister participated in the two-day policy training programme ‘Chintan Shivir 3.0’ held at Indian Institute of Management Raipur.
The event was organised jointly by the Department of Good Governance and Convergence and IIM Raipur, with the objective of strengthening administrative efficiency and building a roadmap toward a “Developed Chhattisgarh.”
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao also attended the programme alongside the Chief Minister.
Yoga Session and Final Policy Deliberations Mark Conclusion of Programme
On the concluding day of the Chintan Shivir, cabinet ministers participated in a morning yoga session before moving into final rounds of policy discussions.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the two-day event involved intensive deliberations focused on improving coordination between departments and adopting modern governance frameworks. He described the exercise as a step toward refining public service delivery in the state.
Vision for ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’
The Chintan Shivir 3.0 programme emphasized collaborative governance, innovation in policy-making, and long-term development planning. The state leadership discussed strategies aimed at accelerating infrastructure growth, improving administrative efficiency, and ensuring citizen-centric governance.
Officials reiterated that such initiatives are part of a broader vision to transform Chhattisgarh into a more developed and efficiently governed state in the coming years.
