Lately, Dr. Saket Badola (Indian Forest Service) took to X and shared a video where a herd of elephants can be seen crossing a railway track inside the Rajaji Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand. Officer Badola mentioned how a (wildlife) patrolling team saw the clan of pachyderms in the vicinity of the railway lines. Wasting no time, the team of forest officials informed the concerned railway staff to stop an incoming train — allowing the gentle giants to cross the rail tracks safely. Such a swift collaboration between the forest and railway staff resulted in a timely intervention, preventing a potential mishap.
