What started as an exciting leopard safari at Bannerghatta National Park in Karnataka quickly turned into a terrifying ordeal for a group of tourists, when a wild leopard attempted to climb their safari bus, leaving everyone inside in a state of shock. The heart-pounding moment, now captured in a viral video, has taken the internet by storm, garnering millions of views.

In the video, the sleek and powerful leopard can be seen stalking the bus, its piercing eyes fixed on the passengers. As the bus paused for a closer look at the elusive predator, the leopard made its move. To the tourists’ horror, the big cat leapt onto the window of the bus, clawing at the side in an attempt to hoist itself up and get inside. Screams erupted from the passengers as the leopard momentarily hung from the bus, gazing inside with a primal intensity that sent chills down everyone’s spine.

For what felt like an eternity, the leopard tried to pull itself up by gripping the window frame with its paws. The tension reached its peak as it seemed the animal might succeed in breaking into the bus. However, just as the danger intensified, the driver, quick on his feet, jolted the vehicle forward, causing the leopard to lose its grip and slip off the bus. The cat fell back to the ground, and the driver sped off, preventing what could have been a disaster.

Social media exploded with reactions after the footage surfaced online. One user, sharing the video on platform X, wrote, “Come face-to-face with leopards in their near-natural habitat at Bannerghatta Biological Park #Bengaluru. Visit soon, except Tuesdays, before they come visit an enclave near you.” Comments flooded in, with some recalling chilling experiences of their own, like one user who said, “A tiger once dragged a little girl from her grandpa’s lap, I can’t believe this is still a possibility.” Another added, “They should stop feeding animals, this only makes them rush towards humans expecting food.”

The incident occurred on a Sunday when the bus driver had pulled up closer to offer tourists a better view of the majestic creature. The sight, however, turned into a nightmare as the animal’s bold move left the passengers frozen in fear. While the initial shock was overwhelming, some of the tourists admitted to being mesmerized by the sheer power and beauty of the leopard, despite the panic it caused.

The unexpected encounter serves as a reminder of the wild, untamed nature of these safaris, where the thrill of the wild can sometimes become a pulse-racing brush with danger.
