In a first, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Government approved the induction of 31 Jammu and Kashmir Police Services (JKPS) officers into Indian Police Services (IPS). It includes two retired police officers too.
Also, the government reserved two posts for officers, including one serving and one retired, who have been facing court cases and inquiries.
